The first world-class film theme park, called Globe 100, will make its new home Changliu District, Haikou. The investing company, Changchun Film Group Co.,Ltd, revealed their intentions that the construction project of the theme park would start in October during the designing conference.

The Globe 100 project will occupy a construction area of 7000 acres and enjoy an investment of 43.6 billion RMB. The project will include 3 theme parks, 3 festival sites, 4 theme hotels, 5 studios for celebrated members of film circles and 6 film and video producing stations.

The project has already been approved at the Hainan tourism planning meeting on 25th November 2010. And the design plan of the Globe 100 was passed by Hainan Municipal Government in July, 2012.

According to the design plan, the project will be completed in three phases and the first phase project is predicted to start trial operation at the end of 2014. The whole project will be finished in 2016.
