FlightSafety International and Lufthansa HNA Technical Training have signed a cooperative agreement to expand FlightSafety’s Gulfstream maintenance training programs in China.

Lufthansa HNA Technical Training instructors will deliver the training, which will initially include theoretical and practical maintenance training for the Gulfstream G200, G450 and G550.

FlightSafety will train the Lufthansa HNA instructors and will also provide its Matrix integrated training system. Matrix uses the same software that drives its level-D simulators, according to the company.

Both graphical flight-deck simulators and desktop simulators will be employed for technician training.
The graphical flight-deck simulators use touch-screen displays that allow students to monitor or perform most aircraft functions. The desktop simulators are used as classroom tools for instructor-led or self-paced instruction.

Lufthansa HNA Technical Training is a joint venture between Lufthansa Technical Training and Hainan Airlines subsidiary HNA Technik. “FlightSafety is pleased to expand the training it provides for maintenance technicians who support Gulfstream aircraft based in China and the surrounding region,” said FlightSafety business development director for maintenance training Mike Lee.
