Dongfang County, Hainan’s nearest county from Vietnam, plans to invest RMB300 million to build a Border Trade Center between China and ASEAN, and the center will also be built into Hainan’s first ASEAN Commercial Trade Tourism Resort.

Dongfang county and Vietnam’s Halong county will cooperate more closely in frontier trade, the transit trade, logistics, warehousing and commercial trade tourism.

According to the introduction, the government started the construction of the Border Trade Center last October, and it is expected to be completed this June.

At present, the 12,000-square meter commercial building has nearly been completed, and the 50 shops with Southeast Asian scenery have already been completed. Dongfang rosewood and Vietnamese Red rosewood furniture will be displayed.

After its completion, it will be a two-way Border Trade Center between China and ASEAN countries.
