Emeritus Senior Minister (ESM) Goh Chok Tong will visit China from April 2-8, where he will meet with China’s President Xi Jinping and other senior Chinese officials.
 
He first visit will be to Guangdong Province, China, from April 2-4, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. ESM will meet Guangdong Party Secretary Hu Chunhua, Guangzhou Party Secretary Wan Qingliang, Shenzhen Party Secretary Wang Rong and other provincial leaders.
 
ESM will also visit the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City to view its development and meet Singaporeans in Guangdong Province. This visit is part of our broader efforts to enhance linkages with key Chinese provinces.
 
From April 4-8, ESM will visit Hainan Province to attend the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference where he will have bilateral meetings with foreign leaders and senior Chinese officials. ESM, who is a member of the BFA Board of Directors, will call on President Xi Jinping with the BFA Board of Directors.
 
He will be accompanied by Member of Parliament and Chief Executive Officer of Business China Low Yen Ling, and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
