According to the provincial government, 3 Hainan’s scenic areas recently have been awarded the title of National Leisure Agricultural and Rural Tourism Demonstration Site.
 
The 3 scenic areas are Yanoda Rainforest Cultural Tourism Zone in Baoting County, Sanya Nantian Ecological Garden Park and Sanya Orchid World Cultural Tourism Zone. 
 
In 2010, the central government planned to take 3 years to build 100 national agricultural tourism demonstration counties and 300 demonstration sites in China. 
 
To obtain the title, these counties and scenic spot sites are required to receive more than 1 million tourists each year, with over 30% of local farmers to get benefits from it.
 
Meanwhile, the leading industry of the demonstration counties and sites must focus on green agriculture by producing harmless and organic agricultural products.
 
In recent 3 years, sales of the demonstration counties and sites keep a steady growth.
