Star rating of 21 hotels in Hainan revoked during 2012 review

The star rating of 21 hotels in Hainan have been revoked during a review of hotel ratings conducted by the Hainan Provincial Tourist Hotel Star Rating Committee in August and September 2012. Another 11 hotels were ordered to rectify.
A total of 152 star-rated hotels got the annual review including 17 five-star hotels, 40 four-star hotels and 74 three-star hotels.
The review was conducted based on the required facilities, facility quality and hotel operating system.
Of the 21 hotels got star ratings revoked include the 2 four-star hotels and 3 three-star hotels in Sanya
The commission suspended the approval for another 11 hotels and required them to make corrections within a time limit, among which 2 were five-star hotels and 2 were four-star hotels.
