The Hainan government plans to release real-time air quality information focusing on readings of PM2.5 pollution particles in 5 more cities including Sanya, Sansha, Qionghai, Danzhou and Wuzhishan by the end of 2013. 

According to the plan, the 5 cities will start to release the monitoring data of levels of carbon monoxide, ozone, PM2.5 pollution particles, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide and inhalable participates (PM10) in 2013 .

By the end of 2015, the air-quality data is expected to have been made available in other cities and counties, industrial development regions including Yangpu and Dongfang, and scenic areas including Haikou Volcanic Cluster National Geopark, the BFA permanent site and Yalong Bay National Tourism Resort Area.
