Forest coverage rate in Baoting reaches 85.2%
The forest coverage rate in Baoting has reached 85.2% to date, ranking the first in Hainan province.
Baoting launched its eco-system improvement campaign in 2006 and has accomplished many great things. The Yanoda Cultural Tourism Zone has been rated as the 5th national cultural industry demonstration base, and Binglanggu as a 5-star farmhouse.
In 2012, the Baoting government increased efforts in landscaping projects, with Boating subsequently judged the most advanced county for forest resources protection in the country.
Under the plan, a total of 20,895 hectares of forests were planted as part of the county’s eco-system improvement drive last year.
