Hainan Airlines (HU, Haikou Meilan International (HAK)) has denied rumours spread earlier this week that it would be considering a cancellation of its ten orders for B787-8s.

HNA Group chairman Chen Feng has told Reuters at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, that the carrier would be disappointed about the on-going delays and would have to further delay plans to launch a new route from Beijing Capital (PEK) to Newark Liberty International (EWR) but has confirmed the aircraft would still be part of the airline's expansion plans.
