Hainan's Chengmai County plans to build a coffee port at the Fushan Coffee Scenery Town.

With an estimated cost of 1.6 billion yuan, the project covers a total construction area of 110,000 sqm and will include a coffee trade center, hotel and other supporting facilities. The whole project will be completed in 3 years.

When the new port opens, it will not only promote local coffee brands, but also serve as an important import and export base for coffee in China.

Fushan Coffee Scenery Town is becoming a hot tourist site in the north Hainan after being designated as a 3A-level National Scenic Spot. In 2012, the number of visitors to Fushan reached 720,000.
