The 2012 Asia Pacific Economic Co-operation Summit for small and medium-sized enterprises (2012 APEC SME Summit) will be held in Chengmai County, Hainan from December 8th to 10th.

The 5th APEC SME Summit, which is co-sponsored by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) and the people’s government of Hainan Province, has become an important platform for exchanging ideas between distinguished business elites, specialists and scholars.

This year the difficulties faced by small and medium-sized enterprises are even more serious. Considering the current issues, the meeting will focus on topics including SMEs' Access to Finance, Industry's Revitalization Road and Reshaping Chinese Labels in the Overseas Market and Enterprise Culture and Branding.

Internet Theme Day 2012 Asian Internet Conference will be held during the meeting. Several Internet specialists from the United States, South Korea, India, Malaysia, Vietnam, Canada and Hong Kong of China will gather in Hainan for the event.

The organizing committee will continue to partner with the Standard Chartered Bank in launching the awards list which honors the annual outstanding enterprises of 2012 in innovation, culture and brand promotion and green development.
