India's leading information technology (IT) training company, NIIT Ltd., will invest $800 million in the construction of an IT Knowledge Park in Chengmai County, Hainan.

The deal is one among a package of investment cooperation agreements signed between China and India at the bilateral strategic economic dialogue on Monday.

Jointly established by the Hainan Ecological Software Park and the NIIT, the IT Knowledge Park will be the second NIIT training center for IT talents in Southeast Asia region, followed by Nanjing.

As India’s second largest software developer and the third biggest software exporter, NIIT will also set up a research base to introduce a large number of Indian software enterprises who will set up branches at the park, aiming to establish a platform of exchange and cooperation between China and India’s IT industries.
