Shimei Bay Yacht Club to be put into operation by end of November
The construction of the Shimei Bay Yacht Club, an important project for the Shimei Bay tourist resorts, will soon to be completed and will begin its trial operation by the end of November.
With a total investment of 320 million yuan, the project consists of a yacht marina, a yacht club, a hotel and several other first-class service facilities which include a 717-meter-long breakwater, a 477-meter-long seawall and 208 berths.
Currently the steel piles to fix the yachts at the marina have been completed. Some of the berths have been completed and a yacht club covering an area of 4849.62 sqm is still under construction.
The yacht marina is 3,528 meters in length, and can accommodate the world’s largest yacht. The depth of the surrounding water is up to 5.8 meters, enough for the world famous Volvo Ocean Race.
