The General Administration of Press and Publication has announced that the 23rd National Book Expo will take place in April next year.

The Haikou International Convention and Exhibition Center in Haikou will be the main venue for the expo, and three other branches of the exhibit will be set up in Sanya, Danzhou and Wanning.

The expo is by co-organized by the Department of Culture, Radio, Film, TV, Press and Publication of Hainan Province, the Haikou People's Government, Chinese Publishers Association and China Publication and Distribution Association, with this year’s theme as 'Books of Coconut City, Charming Hainan’

The whole event will be divided into 7 themed sections, including a symposium on innovation and the development of China's publishing industry, a book product exposition and reading promotion activities among the public.
