A total of 1213 precious cultural heritage artifacts had been donated to the Provincial Museum of Hainan by the State Administration for Cultural Heritage (SACH) by November 7th this year.

These cultural heritage artifacts include 1,040 items and 173 cultural relics which are in need of restoration.

Among the items donated, there are nine top national-level cultural relics.

The artifacts are mainly ceramic and porcelain works, which reflect the development of the art of Chinese ceramics. They have great historic, scientific and artistic value.

The governor of Hainan province, Mr Jiang, said that the allocation of the 1,213 precious cultural heritage works to Hainan is another pragmatic move to support the International Tourism Island. As well as this, it will enrich the life of the Hainan people and make cultural treasures available for both Chinese and foreign tourists
