The 2011-12 Hainan annual salary report has shown that the IT industry ranks No.1 among industries for the highest annual salary.

The report was compiled by the Hainan Human Resource Department, and covered 224 industries, with 10, 232 responses.

The salaries in IT-related industries are the highest, with the average income at 3,162 yuan per month, the report showed.

The other top four industries with the highest average salaries include the real estate industry, the wholesale and retail industry, the production manufacturing industry and the business services industry.

Due to the settlement of large-scale enterprises from home and abroad, the average salaries in the production and manufactory industry have grown compared to previous years.

The report also showed that the top 10 positions which have rapid salary rises on average are concentrated in the accommodation, catering and wholesale and retail sectors.
