Hainan Holiday Tourism has recently released the island’s tourism information for the upcoming October’s long holidays.
 
Information showed that the availability of hotel rooms in all cities is still sufficient for tourists who wish to visit the island.
 
At present, many local travel agents are gearing up to welcome the winter high season by marketing new tourist products, including cruise tours, with the aim of attracting tourists from all over the world.
 
In addition to the traditional tropical tourist products, other cities and counties like Baoting and Linshui have developed their industries in eco-tourism, tropical rainforest tour, ethnic tourism.
 
Statistics have shown that the hotel occupancy rate in Hainan’s key tourist cities is generally still below 50%. During the period between October 1st to the 4th, the figures of occupancy in Sanya are a little more than 40%.
 
Many insiders have argued that the weather in most parts of China will be sunny during the holidays, which will make Hainan less attractive for the tourists. The statistics have also shown that car rental orders around the island is less than 50% despite the new policy issued by central government that lifting highway tolls during major festivals.
 
Regarding holiday flights, as of September 28th, air prices from major cities like Beijing, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Harbin to Sanya will enjoy a 10% discount.
