Construction on 4 infrastructure projects in Sanya on Yongzing Island is running smoothly. The projects aim to strengthen environmental protection and improve living conditions for local residents and servicemen stationed of the island.

The 4 projects include a sewage disposal factory and sewage pipe network, and a waste transfer station on Xisha Islands, construction of which started at the end of last August.

After the project’s completion these two infrastructures will be capable of treating 1,800 tons of wastewater a day as well as compress 20 tons of garbage collected from the island and its neighboring islets respectively.

Another infrastructure, the coastal ecological restoration, is also being constructed to maintain the sustainable development of the island.

As well as this, two vessels will be built with the purpose of serving the local residents and strengthening the law enforcement capacity on the island.

In the future there will be proposals into new projects into improving the office facilities of Sanya City.
