New speed measure system implemented on Shenyang-Haikou Expressway
A new interval speed measurement system has been implemented on the Shenyang-Haikou Expressway (Fuzhou segment) on April 1. The measurement length is about 26 km.
The maximum speed limit for cars had been set at 75km/hr and 62.1km/hr for large passenger vehicles.
The system captures the time that vehicles pass by to determine the average speed of traffic by calculating the interval distance of vehicles and travel time with HD probes.
The system can recognize license plates of vehicles driving on each lane as well.
