Yacht tours in Hainan become affordable for general public
Owning a yacht has been considered the height of luxury over the past years. However, with the emergence of yacht clubs set up in Hainan, it’s not only a healthy recreational lifestyle being enjoyed by the upper echelons, but increasingly become available among the public.
“As more yachts with reasonable prices become available to middle-class businessmen who want to spend their leisure time sailing out of the city to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air, reaching the general public is definitely the trend of yacht industry development". said Xie Yilou, chairman of the Hainan Hengxiang Yacht Industry Co. Ltd.
.
"It costs about 10,000 per day to rent the yacht from the club and I don’t think the general public will accept it. However, if several friends share to rent the yacht for half a day, the cost on each person will be less than 1,000 yuan. That’s quite a lot cheaper.” Xie added.

The 3rd Hainan Rendez-Vous 2012 in April has also witnessed the fast growth of the yacht industry.
The four-day event has attracted over 130 luxury and super yachts to line up in the show, making the most for any exhibition of its kind in China.
Hainan has a coastline stretching more than 18,000 kilometers. The island offers huge potential for growth in the water recreation market and development of the yacht industry. It is predicted that yachts will become the next consumption growth indicator after property.
