The first Hainan-made leisure fishing ship was successfully completed at Xinying Port of Lingao County in Hainan on 15th August, 2012.

Built by Hainan Weilong Ship Engineering Co., Ltd with an investment of 4 million yuan, the vessel has a total length of 34 meters, a width of 7 meters, and a depth of 3,8 meters. The vessel can hold 12 passengers.

The vessel features a large variety of advanced facilities including a 360-degree night vision radar, a satellite phone, four sealed tanks and 12 surveillance cameras.

Currently, the vessel is on its trial operation phase with a focus on recreational fishing activities.

Lingao County, which has mudflats extending to 5333 hectares, provides favorable conditions for the development of ocean fishing, making the county the most important fishing industry centre in Hainan Province.
