Hainan sees over 15m tourist arrivals in H1 of 2012
According to statistics released by the local tourism bureau, the growth rate for the tourist market in Hainan is slowing down in the first half of this year.
In the past six months, Hainan has seen 15 million tourists and tourism revenue grew 18% from the previous year to 18 billion yuan.
Experts said Europe's Debt Crisis is the one of the important factors that affects the steady growth of overseas tourism.
In the first half of 2012, over 390,000 overseas tourist arrivals visited Hainan, an increase of 2.3% compared with the same period of last year.
Besides, other factors like the low passenger traffic and rip-off events also have a negative effect on the Hainan tourism industry.
