A tourism promotion conference from a Hainan tourism delegation was held in Seoul, South Korea recently. During the conference, the delegation announced that Hainan will strengthen efforts to push the island tourism market in South Korea in the next three years.
At the promotional meeting, the Hainan delegation introduced a number of domestic and newly emerging international brand hotels to the 120 representatives of South Korea’s travel agencies, tourism managers and journalists by distributing promotional materials, playing promotional films and holding interactive activities.
Besides this, the Hainan delegation also highlighted the tourist draws which are favored by Korean tourists such as golf, hot springs and traditional Chinese medicine, as well as characteristic tourist products such as water sports, cruises and yachting, the beautiful rainforest and the many famous folk customs.
With over 180,000 tourists travelling to Hainan each year, South Korea has been an important tourist source market for Hainan since 2007. The upcoming chartered flights between Hainan and South Korea which will start on Sept. 29th will further facilitate the two regions’ tourism development and cooperation.
