Logo of Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park officially unveiled
On November 2nd, 2020, the visual identity (logo) of the Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park was officially unveiled.
The logo was jointly designed by the outstanding local designer Xie Xianwen and his team, as well as design experts and calligraphers from around the world.
The logo design features Mt. Wuzhishan, and the gibbon, a well known animal that is found only within the Hainan rainforest. The green outer lines symbolizes the vigor and vitality of the lush Mt. Wuzhishan, while the two gibbons in the center signify that the plants and animals of the tropical rainforest will be well protected and will continue to flourish in Hainan.
The logo will be widely used in occasions like domestic exhibitions, foreign cooperation and exchange, as well as image and look projects for the Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park promotion.
The Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park, accounting for about one-third of the country's tropical forest, is home to many rare and endangered species.
Hainan set up a pilot area of the tropical rainforest national park in January 2019 to protect and restore the ecosystem. The pilot area, located in the central mountainous terrain of Hainan, covers an area of more than 4,400 square kilometers. The park consists of five state-level national forest parks, including Jianfeng Mountain, Bawang Mountain, Diaoluo Mountain, and Limu Mountain, and four provincial-level nature reserves.
