Hainan Week will be held at 2012 Yeosu World Expo from July 15 to 17 to promote Hainan culture, tourism and economic development.

As the theme of the expo is ‘The Living Ocean and Coast with subthemes of Preservation and Sustainable Development of the Ocean and Coast’, Hainan organizers will arrange appropriate activities and exhibits to show the world its dedication to ocean development and the achievements it has made on protecting the ocean environment.

The 3-day event will see a series of performances with Hainan traditional flavors, as well as exhibitions of intangible cultural heritage such as the Li People’s brocade techniques.

In order to strive for broader and deeper cooperation in tourism, a tourism promotion conference, intercity exchanges and international communication activities with other national pavilions will be held to promote the construction of the Hainan International Tourism Destination.
