The China International Consumer Products Expo will be held every year in Hainan.

The first expo is to be held in Haikou from May 7th to 10th, 2021.

On June 1st, 2020, Chinese authorities released the Overall Plan for the Construction of Hainan Free Trade Port, a large-scale plan to transform the entire island province into a globally influential high-level free trade port by the middle of the century.

The theme for the first China International Consumer Products Expo is "Hainan, Pioneer of a More Open China," which is designed to build Hainan into an International Tourism and Consumption Center, aggregate the global consumer resources, create a trading platform for international consumer products, and drive the global consumption growth.

The exhibition will be spread over more than 100,000 square meters. The product categories on display will include food, automobiles, electronics, culture and creation, and medicare. The import and sale of overseas exhibits at the expo will be tax-free.
