Ford China have been drip feeding China’s automotive consumers news of the new Focus for several months now, the car is no longer a secret since it launched in the US and EU markets quite a while ago leaving China to be one of the last market to receive the updated model.

Chang’an Ford have chosen the relative warmth of Haikou City, Hainan Island, to launch the next generation of Focus. The new Focus is already lauded by Chinese press as being one of the best looking and best speced cars on the market in the sub 200,000rmb pricing area.

Engines for the new Focus are expected to be direct injected 1.8L and 2.0L models, there is no news of any Ecoboost models making it to the market just yet but you can bet your hat that Ford will want to introduce an RS 2.0L Turbo and also a 1.0T in the near future.
