Fraser Yachts announced that the Hainan Rendezvous, which finished at the weekend, was visited by a high number of their qualified clients from across the region.

There are very encouraging signs that more and more people are developing a strong interest in superyacht ownership and charter. The show had doubled in size since 2011 and almost every major yachting company was represented, as well as a wide range of other luxury products, from watches and jewelry to supercars and private jets.

Patrick Coote, Global Marketing Director was at the show and was very encouraged by what he saw. "Our concerted efforts over the last 6 years or so have really started to pay dividends. We've invested significant time and effort in building strong local relationships and partnerships and there is no doubt that things are now beginning to move forwards. A strong and highly regarded brand is a particularly important factor in emerging markets and we are now ideally placed with a solid, leading position. We hosted a group of over 50 clients throughout the four days of the show. They all flew in specifically to view the yachts on display as well as to discuss new build projects and summer charters. Yachting is still a new concept for most people in mainland China so our brokers undertook a series of detailed guided tours of HELIX (kindly hosted by Feadship) to point out design features, layout options and technical aspects. Being relatively new to the world of superyachts this was a great way to help our guests understand more about the complexities of yacht construction, acquisition and ownership."

Patrick Coote concluded by adding "Marketers often refer to the buying process by the acronym A.I.D.A (Awareness, Interest, Desire, Action). Fraser Yachts had a highly successful show and the number of qualified visitors far exceeded our expectations. We are definitely starting to see some "action, that's certain."
