A campaign has been launched to solicit mascot designs from the public for 2012 Tour of Hainan International Road Cycling Race, said the organizers on Thursday.
 
The designs can be submitted from now till August 15 and the final selected works will be awarded 10,000 yuan (around 1,580 US dollars).
 
According to organizing committee, the mascots should match the theme of this year’s Hainan Cycling Race and the works should be original and cannot be published in any form before being submitted to the organizing committee.
 
The Tour of Hainan International Road Cycling Race has been successfully held for six years starting in 2006.
