WBC MUAYTHAI World Championships to kick off tonight in Haikou
Two WBC MUAYTHAI World Championships, the highest-level fighting matches will be kicked off at 8:00pm tonight in the Haikou Municipal Gymnasium.
On the afternoon of 19th August, 2010, 14 master Muaythai fighters from 9 countries showed up in Haikou, capital city of Hainan Province.
WBC, stands for World Boxing Council, is a most known professional boxing and Pankration organization. It has 162 country and region members all over the world.
Hainan Longxingtianxia Sport Cultural Communication Company cooperated with WBC and the largest western promotion agency WCK, aiming to build Hainan province into a boxing centre in Asia.
The most attracting match will be the men’s lightweight championship which will battle out between the WMC lightweight champion Jaroenchai Oaddonmuang (Thailand) and the 2009 WBC champion Hiromasa Masuda (Japan).
Miriam Nakamoto (USA), the No.1 boxer in 2010 and the 2009 Muaythai world champion Claire Haigh (Luxemburg) will compete for the first title of the WBC women’s lightweight championship.
