Ship carrying 778 passengers runs aground off Hainan, no casualties reported
A ship carrying 778 passengers ran aground off southern China's Hainan province on Tuesday, Xinhua News Agency reported, without saying where it got the information.
Nobody was hurt and 702 people were on rescue vessels as of 6:48 p.m. local time, Xinhua said. The rest of the passengers had cars on the ferry and opted to stay until the vessel can be freed tomorrow during high tide, it said.
