Hainan to add 13,553 buses to cope with 2012 Spring Festival travel rush
Hainan will put into use of additional 13,553 buses to cope with the transportation demand during the upcoming Spring Festival holiday, reports hinew.cn.
About 8.53 million passengers are estimated to use road transportation during the 40-day 2012 Spring Festival travel rush in Hainan province, according the transportation department of Hainan.
The 13,553 buses, which will provide 267,414 seaters, are expected to greatly relief the transportation pressure during the travel rush.
The Hainan Yaoxing Transport Company will add 435 vehicles, including 100 tourist buses, 133 public buses and 130 taxis.
