Skipper Seumas Kellock has experience sailing to the beautiful tropical paradise that is Sanya, since he participated in the 2017-18 race. “After racing halfway around the planet, I can’t think of a more vibrant or welcoming home port than Sanya, with its beautiful beaches, endless sunshine and tourist attractions,” Kellock said. “With no need for visas, I am hoping to welcome many friends and family to Sanya during the stopover so they can see how amazing the tropical resort is. Our team have had enough rest in the last two legs of the race. We will do our best to win first place in this leg.”

The fleet is expected to arrive in Sanya between February 10th and 15th, 2020. From February 10th to 21st, 2020, Sanya will warmly welcome the event’s international crew, their families, and race organizers from the Clipper 2019-20 Round-the-world Yacht Race, and show off the charm of beautiful Sanya.
