Hainan Changjiang Nuclear Power Project completes ahead of schedule

On Dec. 28, the dome installation of the No.1 power unit of the Hainan Changjiang Nuclear Power Project was completed 28 days ahead of schedule, indicating the civil construction stage of the nuclear island of the No.1 power unit has come to an end and the project has entered the stage of comprehensive installation.
 
The dome of the nuclear island seals the reactor building and is an important security guarantee for the nuclear island.

The successful completion of the dome lifting and fixing has laid a solid foundation for the future on-site installation, shakedown test and operation of the nuclear power plant.

The Hainan Changjiang Nuclear Power Project is located in Changjiang county, Hainan province. It will have four large-scale nuclear power units. The No.1 power unit will be combined to the grid and started power generation at the end of 2014.
