The Xuwen Port Comprehensive Transportation Hub project, the world's largest passenger ro-ro (roll on/roll off) terminal at Xuwen Port in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province, opened for service on September 26th, 2020.

It will promote closer cooperation between Guangdong, promoting the exchanges between the provinces in logistics, trade, industries and people and Hainan, as well as helping boost the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port.

The comprehensive transportation hub building has a construction area of 77,000 square meters. The first floor is the comprehensive transportation department long-distance bus terminal. The second floor is the ticket hall, departure hall, waiting hall, supporting security check area and office space commercial and service space. The third floor is the arrival hall, leisure area and office space.

The Xuwen Port has 16 roll-on-roll-off berths for passenger or cargo transport , as well as a berth for hazardous goods, capable of accommodating vessels of up to 5,000 dead weight tons each.

After Xuwen Port is put into operation, shipping distance between Xuwen and Haikou, is shortened by half to 12 nautical miles and traveling time to over an hour. The service hotline for Xuwen Port is 4009300003.
