Sanya promotes integration of yacht-related certificates
On June 1st, 2020, a master plan for the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port was released. As part of the plan to boost tourism, Hainan will be a pilot zone for the reform, development and innovation of the yacht industry.
To optimize the business environment, the Sanya Maritime Bureau will integrate seven yacht-related certifications into one consolidated certificate.
The reform is targeted at the commercial yachts and ships registered at the Sanya Maritime Bureau and cruising or operating in the waters under the jurisdiction of Sanya Maritime Bureau.
Seven yacht-related certificates, including ship nationality certificate, ship minimum safety manning certificate, operation safety certificate for high-speed passenger ship, civil liability insurance or other financial guarantee certificate for fuel pollution damage, China vessel radio station licenses, maritime mobile service identity n code certificate and AIS identification code certificate will be merged into Sanya ship management certificate. The certificate is valid for a period of five years.
