Taiwan and Hainan to launch more direct flights to boost tourism
Taiwan and Hainan is planning to add more flights to meet growing passenger demands to promote the tourist markets on both sides.
In November, the flight occupancy between the two cities reached above 80%.
Apart from the newly opened direct flights, another direct air route between Kaohsiung and Haikou by Far Eastern Air Transport (FAT) is soon to open 2 flights per week.
In September and October, Taiwan‘s two airlines companies, China Airlines and EVA Air have launched direct flights to Sanya and Haikou. Currently, the number of weekly flights has reached 18.
