From 1st December, the Hainan provincial government has launched measures to facilitate cruise travel procedures for islanders traveling to Vietnam by sea on the SuperStar Aquarius ship.

The move is part of a government effort to meet the increasing demand in cruise tourism, with an aim to promote the image of Sanya as an international tourism island.

Led by the Hainan Tourism Development Commission, a travel union center consisting of 22 qualified travel agents in Hainan, has been authorized to deal with passport application.

Under the new regulation, the Hainan entry and exit department agrees to provide green channels to clear the passport application within 48 hours for islanders who have no relevant record on household changes for 10 years.

Staring from November 4, the cruise SuperStars Aquarius departs from Sanya Phoenix Island International Terminal to offer two and three nights voyages and call at popular Vietnamese ports Halong Bay, Danang and Hue.
