1st book fair of int’l caliber in tourism to be held in Sanya

The 1st Hainan Island International Tourism Books Fair will be staged at The Sanya EDITION in Haitang Bay from November 15th to 18th, 2019.

As the first book expo in Hainan, the event aims to provide the opportunity of cross-border innovation transformation and accurate matching between supply and demand in the publishing industry, as well as build an international book exhibition brand.

The book fair will demonstrate the advantages and charm of the exhibitor’s brand in several events, including themed books exhibitions, an innovation forum, an international most beautiful travel book design competition, an international publisher copyright transaction workshop, and the “Reading with the Wind “reader’s party.

In particular, the book fair will cooperate with the China Book Design and Art Committee to invite nine Chinese and foreign book design masters to launch the “World’s Most Beautiful Travel Book Design Competition.” The competition will collect tourism books, travel maps, tourist posters, and informal publishing tourism creative readings.

Russia will be the guest country of honor of the first Hainan Island Int’l Book (Tourism) Fair and it will carry out a series of activities around Russian reading culture. Cultural tourism departments, publishing experts, and folk reading organizations of Russia will bring exciting activities, as well as conduct exchanges and interactions with domestic reading organizations.

In addition, Hainan Press and Publication Bureau also signed cooperation agreements at the press conference with cultural media corporations, tourism companies, and translation companies to explore innovative cooperation models in the publishing industry.
