Skytrax, the world's most prestigious rating agency for aviation, recently released the ranking list of 4-star airports. Haikou Meilan International Airport was listed the ninth in the world’s airports and second in China’s airports this year. 

 

Haikou Meilan Airport has actively participated in the star rating program of Skytrax and made timely improvements since 2010.

 

Early this year, the Skytrax organized international civil aviation experts to conduct field evaluations in the airport. Service evaluations included sanitary condition in public areas, security checks, dining facilities and baggage delivery.

 

In the assessment, Haikou Meilan Airport has been constantly improving its services and management, which has gained high praise by Skytrax. 

As of now, the passenger throughput of Haikou Meilan Airport has reached 9.25 million and is expected to hit 10 million by the end of this year.
