Sanya markets see bumper catches again after seasonal ban lifted
The fish are jumping after a three-and-a-half-month summer fishing ban in the South China Sea gave them the time and environment to reproduce.
In Sanya, hundreds of locally-registered fishing boats started joint oceangoing fishing operations on the South China Sea on August 16th, 2020 after a rest of three and a half months.
A harvest of tons of fish including mackerel, red coat, tilefish, and catfish, just to name a few, arrived this morning from fishing vessels at Yazhou Central Fishing Port to wet markets across the city.
