The 2020 Sanya Leisure Agriculture Tourism Homestay Festival was held at the Yalong Bay International Rose Valley and Bohou Village on March 29th, 2020, with various events staged to showcase to visitors the unique charm of Sanya’s leisure rural tourism.

The festival was hosted by the Sanya Agricultural and Rural Bureau, the Sanya Jiyang District People’s Government, the Sanya Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports Bureau, and the Sanya Housing and Urban Rural Development Bureau; it was organized by the Sanya Federation of Tourism Associations; and it was co-organized by the Sanya Jiyang District Homestay Association, the Hainan Rose Valley Industry Development Co., Ltd., and the Sanya Tourism Homestay Association.

A grand opening ceremony was held at Yalong Bay Rose Valley in Jiyang District. Guests attending the ceremony included Zhou Yanhua, Vice Mayor of the Sanya Municipal People’s Government; Qu Huan, Deputy Director of the Sanya Agricultural and Rural Bureau; Chen Lian, Deputy Head of Jiyang District Government; Tang Sixian, Consulting Director of the Sanya Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports Bureau; and official leaders of the Sanya Housing and Urban Rural Development Bureau, Hainan Rose Valley Industry Development Co., Ltd., and the Sanya Tourism Homestay Association.

The festival was held in two locations: Rose Valley Park and the homestay cluster in Bohou Village. On the day of the event, the organizers opened free shuttle bus services to pick up residents and tourists commuting between the two locations, and launched a series of promotional events.

Visitors to Damao Village enjoyed the day out with family members and friends, with activities including rose gardening and floral arranging.

There are 34 different styles of homestay in Bohou Village, offering a total of 1,300 guest rooms. The organizers also set up an exhibition on-site to showcase the homestay tourism offerings in Bohou Village to the public.
