To strengthen the confidence of the tourism industry and to facilitate a recovery from the tourism downturn caused by the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) crisis, the Trip.com Group Limited held an online press conference to announce the launch of the V “Plan for Travel Revival” on March 5th, 2020.

The Trip.com Group Limited will join hands with more than a hundred tourist destinations and ten thousand brands by providing RMB 1 billion of travel revival funds to promote tourism consumption and revitalize the post-epidemic tourism economy.

The Trip.com Group Limited released the 2020 Post-Epidemic Destination Travel Recovery Index Report. The index keeps a tally of “recovery points” for hundreds of destinations through the big data platform “Travel Observer.” According to the report, Sanya topped travelers’ post-epidemic travel bucket lists when compared to China’s hottest tourist and seaside destinations.
