Over one hundred food and beverage enterprises in Sanya have stepped up by providing food supplies including rice, cooking oils, and more, and catering for stranded Hubei travelers who are unable to return home due to the virtual lockdown of the province, which is the epicenter of a pneumonia outbreak caused by the 2019 novel coronavirus.

More than 200 tourists from Hubei province are now staying in two designated hotels — Landscape Beach Hotel Sanya and Vienna Hotel (Sanya Qianguqing).

The campaign, initiated by the Sanya Seafood F&B Association, generated overwhelming support from its members, social communities, and organizations in and around Sanya.

Daily free meal delivery services and surgical masks are also provided at these two designated hotels, helping to extend the government’s assistance to travelers from Hubei.
