The 2019 Sanya Camping Festival is to be held at Yalong Bay International Rose Valley from August 10th to 11th, 2019. The festival will features a series of exciting events, including a Public Welfare Walking event, the Sanya Red Culture Carnival, the Chinese Hanfu Art and Culture Exhibition, a Sanya “Red Culture” Celebration, a Sanya Creativity Products Bazaar, and more.

Highlights of the 2019 Sanya Camping Festival

Public Welfare Walk

Qingmei Port Mangrove Reserve is one of Sanya’s most important mangrove wetlands and a rare tropical mangrove ecosystem in China.

Participants will join in a 10-kilometer-long public welfare walk. The route will start at Yalong Bay International Rose Valley, and pass by Bohou Village and Qingmei Port Mangrove Reserve before loop back to Yalong Bay International Rose Valley

The purpose of the public welfare walk is to clean up garbage along the route, help raise public awareness of mangrove protection, and call for more people to help with mangrove protection.

Sanya “Red Culture” Celebration

To celebrate the PRC’s 70th anniversary, a “red culture” flash mob event by the Sanya Performing Arts Park for the Red Detachment of Women and a bonfire party will be held during the festival.

Outdoor Music Party

An outdoor music party and a “Sino-foreign Interaction Zone” will be set up for Chinese and foreign music lovers to fully enjoy the festival atmosphere.

Cultural Creativity Products Bazaar

A special “cultural creativity” products bazaar will be set up at the event site. Featured products will include local Hainanese agricultural products, handicrafts, “cultural creativity” products, outdoor products, and more.

Visitors can buy all kinds of products as souvenirs, and they can participate in culturally rich events including pottery-making and a Chinese Han-style Costume Culture Festival.
