Launch ceremony held for Sanya tourism promotional documentary ‘Russians in Sanya’

On June 17th, 2019, a launch ceremony was held for a Sanya tourism promotional documentary “Russians in Sanya”. The film is aimed at promoting Sanya’s tourism resources among tourists in the Russian-speaking regions, as well as to enhance Sanya’s recognition as an international tourism destination.

Tang Sixhian, Consulting Director of the Sanya Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports Bureau; and Zhong Fengmao, Associate Consulting Director of the Sanya Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports Bureau were in attendance at the launch ceremony.

The documentary is a collaboration work of the Sanya Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports Bureau, and Russian News Center of Phoenix Satellite Television. It will be synchronously broadcast in Russia and China. Lu Yuguang, chief director of the documentary, was born in Sanya and had been living in Russia for more than 20 years. He has worked as a journalist in the Phoenix Satellite Television for more than 20 years.

During the launch ceremony, Vega, an honored actor of the former Soviet Union and his orchestra, and Zhang Huaming, a national class-A actor, took stage to performed classic Russian songs, such as Katyusha and Hawthorn Tree.
