Fun fun fun! 34 mega events planned for Sanya city in 2019
On April 3rd, 2019, a press conference was held at the Sanya Mass Art Museum during which the first batch of 34 large-scale cultural and sports activities planned for Sanya in 2019 were announced.
The 34 large-scale cultural and sports events include 12 government-guided activities and 22 non-government-guided activities. These events are mainly divided into five categories, namely, cultural & art performances, fashion contests, sports events, festivals & MICE events, and art exhibitions.
Chen Zhenmin, Director of the Sanya Tourism Culture Radio Television and Sports Bureau said, “Sanya is an ideal destination for holding events all year round with rich tourism resources and its unique tropical flavors. By integrating tourism and cultural resources, these large-scale activities will heighten awareness of Sanya’s rich tourism offerings, attracting more travelers choosing Sanya as a holiday destination, and help build Sanya into a high-end tourism destination and an international tourism consumption center.”
