2 teams confirm to quit 2011 Tour of Hainan Int’l Road Cycling Race
Perutnina Ptuj, a Continental cycling team from Slovenia and Tabriz Petrochemical Team from Iran has confirmed to quit 2011 Tour of Hainan International Road Cycling Race.
As a result, there leave 19 cycling teams to take part in the race.
Among the 19 teams, 18 have reached Sanya of South China's Hainan Province as of Tuesday and Team Differdange Magic-sportfood.de, the only professional team in Luxembourg, will arrive on Wednesday.
The opening ceremony of 2011 Tour of Hainan will be held in Sanya on the evening of Oct. 19 when a wonderful art performance with special characteristics of Hainan's ethnic groups will be on the stage.
With a prize totaling 380,000 U.S. dollars, the 2011 Tour of Hainan will formally start at 10:00 am local time on Oct. 20 and the race will cross over 18 cities and counties of Hainan Province with the total length of about 1400 kilometers.
