After Typhoon Nesat smashed the whole island with torrential rains and severe damage, this year’s 19th Typhoon Neglae is going to impact on Hainan from 2nd October, according to the Hainan Weather Station.

Neglae, upgraded to the tropical storm at 1,450 km northwestern of Pacific Ocean, is moving west about 15 kph over the West China Sea with the winds gusting up to 30 mps at the center.

According to the forecast, the typhoon is going to land on Hainan Island on October 3.

Affected by the tropical storm and cold air front, the east, middle and south parts of Hainan province will experience heavy rains on Oct. 3-4. Some sections of seaboard will have winds up to 8-level.

For tourists arranged their travel plans to Hainan, local authorities warned the necessary preparations against bad weather as the upcoming heavy rains will discourage the spirited travelers.
