Heavy rain to hit most parts of Hainan over next 3 days
Heavy rain will fall in most parts of Hainan later Friday, according to the National Meteorological Center (NMC).
Jointly influenced by a low-pressure system and cold front, the heavy rain will continue to hit in most parts of Hainan over the next three days.
Rain will become heavier on Friday and expected to bring 200 mm of rainfall in the western parts of Hainan. In some regions, the rainfall received will up to 700 mm of precipitation.
Meanwhile, rain will ease the drought-hit situations, followed by high temperatures in southern parts of Hainan.
Experts warn the public of good preparation for possible flooding, landslides, mud-rock flows and building collapses triggered by the downpours in future days.
